Our team at The Lifeboat Project was incredibly honored to attend the Mental Health Association’s Legacy of Champions Luncheon. We are proud to of had two full tables of staff and Board of Director members join us for this occasion. The Legacy of Champions Luncheon was an inspiring event dedicated to recognizing community leaders making great impacts in the realm of mental health advocacy. We increased our sponsorship level from last year’s luncheon to be Premier sponsors, as we strongly believe that supporting mental health is essential to our community. In our line of work, it is the most critical component for a survivor’s recovery.
This year, the luncheon’s keynote speaker was Ice T, a great rapper, actor, and outspoken mental health advocate. Known for his raw honesty, Ice T truly told it how it is at yesterday’s event. He spoke on the importance of mental health and how a person’s upbringing greatly shapes their ability to navigate stress, trauma, and adversity.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Mental Health Association for hosting such a meaningful event, and for continuing to shine a light on mental wellness. Thank you to Ice T for using your platform to speak your truth and advocate for such an important cause.
